Ellen, Gail, Gloria, Jennifer, Joseph, Josh, Karen, Shelley, Stephanie, & Allison.
Owner and Moksha yoga teacher
After graduating Villanova University where she played tennis, Ellen found yoga as a means of transition to maintain an athletic lifestyle while balancing it with the calm of a yoga practice. Her first experience was with a Vinyasa style hot yoga class which she immediately loved. After moving to Toronto she started practicing Moksha Hot yoga. Ellen completed the Moksha teacher training in the summer of 2006 after having her first daughter. She has furthered her education by becoming certified in Pre-natal yoga under Mary Barnes Anusara Prenatal Training. Practicing yoga has been a life changing experience that she wants to share with others. Opening Moksha Yoga Northern Kentucky has been a dream for her since she completed the training. She is very excited and passionate to share the power of yoga with all!
When not in the studio you will find Ellen enjoying time with her three young daughter and husband, Michael. She enjoys all sports and traveling all over the world… South America being one of her favorites!

Moksha yoga teacher
Having always been subtly aware that there was more to the world than what it appeared to be, Joe found himself pawing through the religions of man. After coming across a compilation of Buddhist Sutras compiled by Dwight Goddard, Joe started a self-guided study of religion, psychology, and philosophy. After a couple of years his studies led him to BKS Iyengars' "Light on Yoga" and after studying the practice of asana for a few months Joe decided to take an immersion program to become a yoga teacher.
Joe first took the Sivananda teacher training in 2006 at the yoga ashram in the Bahamas and stayed on as staff for four months developing his teaching and working in the ashram. Joe's studies have since taken him to a Vinyasa teacher training with Kristin Cooper Gulak, the Moksha Teacher Training, and a number of Vipassana meditation courses in the lineage of Sayagyi U Ba Khin.
Joe feels he has been most deeply influenced by his love of the world around him. He attributes his greatest lessons to the sound of the wind, the cool wash of the sea, and the dirt beneath his bare feet. When not teaching Joe spends his time with his loving wife young daughter enjoying all there is, in this moment.
